Approximately 7 hundred goats sacrificed on in Ninglashaini in Baitadi

Baitadi: The Jatra of the famous Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple of Baitadi has been completed.

 

 

The Jatra has been completed at the famous Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple at Dehimandaun in the district with the sacrifice of buffalo and Goat. According to the Ninglashaini Bhagwati Religious Service Committee, the Jatra, which started on Tuesday, ended on the day of Chaitedshainka on Wednesday with the sacrifice of a cow and a goat.

Chairman of Ninglashaini Bhagwati Religious Service Committee, Chief Man Bahadur Bohra said that 250 buffalo and 500 goats were sacrificed in the Jatra. It has been customary to tie ropes on the day of Saptami and sacrifice animals on the day of Ashtami. Jatra is held 4 times a year at Ninglashaini Bhagwati temple. Jatras are also held in the temple during Dashain on Mahashtami day, Chaitedasain, Ananta Chaturdashi, and Dhanya Purnima day.

Ninglashaini Bhagwati Temple is visited not only by pilgrims from Nepal but also by bordering Indians.
