30 political parties registered to participate in the forthcoming parliamentary elections in Kailali
Dhangadhi: A total of 30 political parties have been registered to participate in the forthcoming elections in Kailali. The Election Commission has again asked to register parties for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly member elections. While the commission is preparing for the election to be held on November 20, political parties are also focused on the election.
They have been busy with membership renewal, committee expansion, worker training, and conducting political meetings. Chairman of Nepali Congress Kailali Narayanadatta Bhatt said that he has started meeting with leaders and workers.
He said that although no instructions have come from the higher level, discussions and cooperation have begun in the district. "There is no instruction given to us so far, but it is my responsibility to create an environment where everyone can walk with friends," he said. CPN-UML is the largest party in Kailali, which has five constituencies for members of the House of Representatives and 10 constituencies for members of the Provincial Assembly.
The winners from constituencies number 2, 3, 4 and 5 are members of UML. UML has only 2 provincial assembly members. It is seen that it will be difficult for the UML to maintain its credibility in the district if the CPN United Socialist Party, Nepali Congress, Maoist Center and other parties that split from the UML form an alliance in the upcoming elections. Kailali Executive President of CPN-UML Durga Joshi said that since the CPN-UML is the largest in the district, it has started preparations for the elections. They have started their preparations. We are holding programs in all municipalities," he said.
CPN Unified Socialist Party, Maoist Center, Nagrik Unmukti Party are also busy with election focused programs. Leaders have also started searching for candidates for the election of members of the House of Representatives and members of the Provincial Assembly. Bhairav Rawal, chairman of CPN United Samajwadi Kailali, said that the alliance is being prepared only after agreement.
Similarly, Nagrik Unmukti Party, which was opened during the local elections, is going to field candidates in five areas of Kailali. In Kailali, which has five constituencies of the House of Representatives, the Nagrik Unmukti Party is going to send its candidate for election. Nagrik Unmukti Party is planning to enter the election field in Kailali state assembly as well.
