Dadeldhura: Service recipients are experiencing significant difficulties due to a shortage of staff at the Internal Revenue Office in Dadeldhura, which has been without an office chief for four months. The lack of personnel has severely impacted service delivery.

Currently, 10 staff positions remain vacant, including one deputy secretary, three tax officers, five sub-district officers, and one computer officer. This shortage has hindered the efficient operation of the office.

Hemraj Bhatta, a service recipient from Baitadi, expressed frustration, stating, "For those who come from distant places like us, there is a major problem because work is not completed on time."

The office is being managed by Acting Office Chief Thaneshwar Awasthi, who acknowledged the challenges. "To address the issues caused by staff shortages, we have been reallocating staff from one field to another as required," Awasthi explained.

The Dadeldhura Revenue Office serves citizens from Dadeldhura, Baitadi, Darchula, Bajhang, Doti, Achham, and Bajura, making the staffing crisis particularly burdensome for service recipients across the region.
