SPA college honors Nepali cricketers with cash awards for world cup performance

Dhangadhi: SPA College in Dhangadhi has honored Nepali cricket players participating in the ongoing ICC T-20 Cricket World Cup in Mumbai, India.

As part of the recognition, the college presented SPA honors along with Rs 101,000 each to Lokesh Bam, a student of SPA College, and brand ambassador Sher Malla. The ceremony was held on Friday during a function celebrating the 27th anniversary of the college.

Chief guest and educationist Dr. Hemraj Pant, along with the college’s managing director Subash Shahi, presented the honors to both players with a traditional dosalla.

Lokesh Bam played a remarkable innings of 39 runs off 20 balls, including four fours and two sixes, bringing Nepal close to victory against England. Sher Malla took the wicket of Phil Salt with his very first delivery in his debut international match.
