Minor Arrested for Rape of 25-Year-Old Woman in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Law enforcement officials have detained a minor on charges of sexually assaulting a woman in Kailali.

On Monday, authorities apprehended a 17-year-old minor, whose identity has been withheld, from Lamkichuha Municipality-1 of the district, in connection with the rape of a 25-year-old woman. Police disclosed that the minor has confessed to engaging in inappropriate behavior with the victim.

Investigations revealed that the minor contacted the victim, who was reportedly in a vulnerable state of mind. The matter came to light after the victim confided in her family upon returning home to Karni, prompting them to file a complaint with the police. Deputy Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chand stated that authorities were informed of the incident in Lamki following the receipt of the complaint.
