Khagraj Bhatta appointed acting in-charge of Maoist centre far west province

Dhangadhi: Khagraj Bhatta has been appointed as the acting in-charge of the CPN (Maoist Centre) Far West Province. A standing committee member of the party, Bhatta received the appointment through a circular issued on Wednesday by Province In-Charge Girirajmani Pokharel.
Bhatta, who also holds the position of co-in-charge, was assigned the acting role as Pokharel prepares to be away for personal reasons, including an upcoming foreign trip, party sources confirmed. The circular regarding Bhatta’s appointment has been dispatched to all provincial and district committees of the party.

Sixteen months ago, Bhatta was removed as the party’s parliamentary leader by a majority of the provincial assembly members, who had appointed Man Bahadur Dhami in his place. However, he was recently reinstated as the parliamentary party leader through a unanimous decision made in the presence of party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.
