Kanchanpur: Four young women of Dodhara Chandni Municipality-10, who were on en-route India via the Mahendranagar-Indian border market Melaghat, were rescued on Wednesday.
Peace Rehabilitation Center Kanchanpur rescued the girls from the border. The rescued girls have been handed over to the police. Rekha Bhandari Pujara, a counselor at Dodhara Chandani’s Peace Rehabilitation Center, said that the girls were rescued while they were on their way to Indian’s capital, New Delhi in search of work.
Pujara added that the girls were rescued as they are at a high risk of being trafficked to India, they were crossing the border illegally to get to New Delhi when the rescue operation was carried out. The four girls handed over to the Area Police Office have been sent to their respective homes after contacting their families.
