Dhangadhi Unveils Comprehensive Industry Strategy for 2081/82
Dhangadhi sole sub-metropolitan municipality of Far Western Province, has announced an ambitious industry strategy for the financial year 2081/82.
This strategic plan aims to alleviate poverty by promoting the products of entrepreneurs who have gained skills through the Small Enterprise Development Program. To support the extremely poor, jobless individuals, and those returning from foreign employment, Dhangadhi will continue offering entrepreneurship and skill development training.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to foster local raw materials, labor, skill-based, and export-oriented industries by providing various tax exemptions. The policies highlight special concessions for businesses operated by single women, persons with disabilities, minorities, and economically disadvantaged women.
ditionally, the city plans to conduct training to preserve the traditional costumes of local castes and tribes. Successful women entrepreneurs, particularly those benefiting from the City Deputy Mayor Enterprise Development Fund, will be honored. The strategy also includes the creation of 'One Ward, One Economic Center' to boost economic activity across all wards, promoting local product consumption at the grassroots level.
Furthermore, the sub-metropolis intends to strengthen traditional professions of Dalits and tribal communities, emphasizing their role in the region's industrial landscape.
