Tragic Demise of Pregnant Woman in Bajura: Sukili's Unfortunate Journey Ends with Loss of Twins
Bajura: In a heartbreaking incident in Bajura, the life of 28-year-old Sukili Sarki from Jagannath Rural Municipality-2 came to a tragic end during childbirth. Sukili, who was pregnant with twins, was airlifted to Surkhet Provincial Hospital via a Nepali Army helicopter on Saturday.
Kali Bahadur Shahi, the Chairman of the Rural Municipality, revealed that following surgery, two lifeless infants were delivered from Sukili Sarki's womb on Saturday. The heartbreaking revelation included the loss of a son and a daughter. Unfortunately, Sukili herself succumbed to her complications during treatment on Sunday at approximately 5 am.
Sukili's labor began at Colti Primary Health Center, where an immediate referral was made due to the complexity of her condition. The urgency led to her transfer to Surkhet via an army helicopter as part of the President Utthan program.
Expressing condolences, the Jagannath Rural Municipality confirmed that arrangements are underway to transport Sukili's remains back home. The deceased leaves behind two surviving children, adding an extra layer of sorrow to this already tragic event. The community mourns the loss and stands in solidarity with Sukili's family during this difficult time.
