Fire Ravages Shed in Kanchanpur's Belauri Municipality, Resulting in Significant Losses
Dhangadhi: A devastating fire erupted in a shed located in Belauri municipality, ward number 5, within the district of Kanchanpur. The incident unfolded near the residence of Ram Singh Karki in Bantaria, where wood, sawdust, wooden rice bins, and various other materials were tragically consumed by the flames.
The unfortunate event transpired on Tuesday night when goats, housed in the shed for protection against the winter chill, fell victim to the blaze while being roasted. Mr. Karki expressed remorse, attributing the cause of the damage to his inadvertent failure to extinguish the fire before retiring for the night.
Prompt action was taken as the fire was noticed early on Wednesday morning, leading to the immediate notification of local authorities, including the police and public representatives. Despite the absence of a fire brigade in Belauri municipality, the situation was brought under control through the collaborative efforts of the Punarwas Municipality Fire Brigade and a JCB.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of fire safety measures, and highlights the potential consequences of overlooking basic precautions. The community is urged to remain vigilant and proactive in preventing such incidents in the future.
