Attariya-Bhyagutepani road in Kailali undergoing upgrade

Dhangadhi: The 14.5-kilometer road section from Attariya to Bhyagutepani in Kailali is being upgraded.

According to the Road Division Office, Mahendranagar, the road will be improved through a resealing process. A contract worth Rs 2.54 crore has been signed with RDAPSK JV for the repair and upgrade of this section of the Bhimdatta Highway. The project is scheduled for completion by mid-Asad, said engineer Chitra Chaulagain.

Chaulagain added that road surfaces need improvement every five years to preserve quality. Meanwhile, the 30-meter section of road submerged in Budhitola along the Bhimdatta Highway in Godavari Municipality-4 is nearing completion. A Rs 6 crore contract was awarded to GSI Hatairaj JV Construction Company for its repair.

The Road Division Office also informed that a contract for blacktopping a 300-meter stretch will be issued in the upcoming fiscal year. While the flooded road section has been temporarily restored for use, vehicle movement remains challenging.
