Chief Minister Shah Urges Swift Action: Calls on DIG KC to Apprehend Main Drug Dealer and Agents
Dhangadhi: Sadur Paschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah, in a significant move, appealed to Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Rabindra KC, the province's chief of police, on Wednesday, urging the immediate arrest of the primary drug dealer and associated agents.
Expressing deep concern over the impact of drugs and addiction on the youth of the Far West region, Chief Minister Shah emphasized that controlling the main drug dealers and agents is crucial to mitigating the escalating problem. He underscored the urgency of addressing the issue at its core, stating, "The state government's greatest concern is that the situation of drug and addiction will worsen unless we tackle the root cause. To achieve this, it is imperative to apprehend the dealers and agents responsible." Chief Minister Shah pledged the full support of the provincial government to aid the police in this mission.
In response, DIG KC assured Chief Minister Shah of his unwavering commitment to carry out his duties diligently. He affirmed that the police force will spare no effort to curb crime, maintain peace, and ensure security in the region. Moreover, DIG KC vowed to eliminate the drug trade, aligning the police force's efforts with the imperative goal of eradicating the root causes of drug-related challenges in the province.
