Successful Conclusion of Provincial Meeting for Local Level Employees in Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: The provincial meeting for local level employees reached a successful conclusion in Dhangadhi on Saturday. During the inaugural session, employees emphasized the immediate enactment of the Far Western Province Civil Service Act and the Local Service Act, urging for amendments that are favorable to local level employees.
Local level employees appealed to the leadership and administrators of the Far Western Province to fortify administrative federalism. A key point raised during the meeting was the demand for the inclusion of employees from all three levels in the definition of civil servants. Dinesh Rawal, the Provincial Coordinator of the Local Level Employees' Struggle Committee, stated that the meeting was orchestrated to sustain a proactive movement addressing the demands and concerns of the unified civil service act and catering to the issues faced by local level employees.
Speakers at the gathering affirmed their commitment to advocating for the rights and interests of local level employees, emphasizing the importance of trade union rights. The provincial meeting in Dhangadhi concluded with a pledge to exert pressure on the government for the implementation of the 19-point agreement reached with the federal government on October 14th.
