Suspicious Death of Woman in Kailali Raises Murder Suspicions
Dhangadhi: A woman's untimely demise in Kailali, on her way back from Maiti, has stirred suspicion, with allegations of possible foul play in the matter. The deceased, identified as 24-year-old Sanjeeta Chaudhary, was the wife of Dhurjuna, the Deputy Mayor of Dhangadhi-17.
Sanjeeta was found lifeless at her residence in Bhajani Municipality-5 Lalbozhi. On Tuesday, she left the Maiti house around 9:30 a.m. and boarded a bus from Dhangadhi market at noon, eventually reaching her home in Lalbozhi at approximately 2 p.m. On the same day, her lifeless body was discovered.
Sanjeeta's husband, 26-year-old Suvet Yadab Sohidin, had informed his family that he would be traveling to India for four to five months to earn a living. It is alleged that Sanjeeta hanged herself shortly after reaching home, and her body was discovered by Yadab upon his return from Tikunia.
However, the Maiti side has raised suspicions, speculating that the incident may not be a suicide but a murder. Sanjeeta's uncle, Harinarayan Chaudhary, questioned the feasibility of someone's feet touching the ground in a hanging, leading to death. Moreover, Sanjeeta's mobile phone was found in the possession of her husband, which adds to the doubts surrounding the case.
According to the bereaved family, the post-mortem examination was conducted at Tikapur Hospital without their presence, further fueling their suspicions that the death may have been premeditated. Harinarayan Chaudhary expressed the belief that Sanjeeta's sudden demise, after reaching home safely, indicates that she was murdered rather than taking her own life. The grieving mother's side also finds it highly suspicious that such an incident occurred within the confines of the house.
Sanjeeta's husband, Yadab, returned home following his departure to India to earn money, and the investigation into the matter continues.
