Godavari Municipality Introduces Complimentary Mahaprasthan Yana Service

Dhangadhi: The Godavari Municipality in Kailali district has recently launched a free Mahaprasthan Yana service, aiming to assist the community during somber occasions.

Commencing its operation on Wednesday, the Mahaprasthan Yana, which was procured by the municipality at a cost of 31 lakhs from the previous financial year's budget, is designated to transport deceased individuals. The vehicle has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate separate compartments for the earthly remains and the kiriyaputri, ensuring respectful handling.

In a bid to pay tribute to the departed, the front of the vehicle provides space for displaying a picture of the deceased, along with the option to place a garland as a symbol of honor.
