Agreement of Dhangadhi 6-lane road being transferred without completion

Dhangadhi: An agreement was signed on Jeth 6, 2074 for the construction of the Mohanapul-Attaria 6-lane road. The 14 km road is under construction in three sections. The deadline for the first section was Asoj 4 second on Bhadra 24th, the third is said to have expired on Asoj 15. However, the road has not been completed yet.

It is said that trickery has started to give and transfer payments based on work. According to Ram Bahadur Gurung, Head of Mahakali 4 Lane Road Planning Office, the file of the progress so far has reached the department. That project has been closed since mid-October. Now it has been handed over to the Mahakali Bridge Planning Office. Road repair and bridge works are pending,” he said.

Even in the third section of the road, the pavement construction, road painting, signboards, and damaged road have not been repaired. The black tarred road has been destroyed in all three sections. There are no traffic signals that should be placed on the road. Branch road work is not completed. But the Mahakali 4 Lane Bridge Planning Office, which has been entrusted with the construction of the road, has sent the file to the center for payment based on work.

Office chief Gurung said, "The road has not been handed over." We have asked to correct the defect. It didn't work during the rainy season. Now they work, maybe. The contract is not closed. Even after a year of handing over, there is still time for repair.

Nagarjuna Construction Services in the Mohanapul area in the first section and Rajendra Construction Services in the second and third sections are doing road construction work. It is claimed that the construction company of the first section has not even been contacted. However, Gurung, head of the Mahakali Bridge Planning Office, said that the fire department has been brought.

He said that the work is not final but the scope of the work has been reduced. Companies have been neglecting the construction of the road despite repeated warnings. After the dismissal of the project office, the construction company is in high spirits. The road department is also in favor of the construction company.
