Dhangadhi: About 250 meters of postal road in Kailali has been flooded.

A 250-meter section of the postal road in Tikapur Municipality Ward No. 8 of the district has been flooded. According to Pratik Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kailali, about 250 meters of the road has been washed away after the Karnali River broke.

"Traffic has come to a complete standstill after the road was flooded," said Deputy Superintendent of Police Bisht. Similarly, many villages in the eastern part of Kailali have been affected by the floods in the Karnali River.

The floods have affected the southern part of Tikapur municipality the most. The floods have damaged some settlements in Janaki, Lamkichuha, Bhajani and Joshipur. The floods have washed away thousands of acres of paddy fields.
