Bajhang youth sentenced to death for raping four-year-old sister.

Dhangadhi: An Indian court has sentenced a young man to death for raping a Nepali girl at Jajardewal in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state. A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to death by a Pithoragarh police for raping his four-year-old step-sister.

According to the Indian magazine Amar Ujala, the men were arrested on April 3, 2021. It is learned that he has been living in Pithoragarh with his step-sister after the death of his parents in the village. A single bench of Pithoragarh District Judge Dr. Gyanendra Kumar Sharma sentenced the accused to death yesterday (Friday) as the allegations were confirmed based on evidence and statements. The sentence was handed down following sections 376A and B of the Indian Penal Code.
