Bear terror in Achham, three injured in one day

Dhangadhi: Three people have been injured in a bear attack at different places in Achham on the same day. Dan Bahadur Saud age 30, and Tul Saud age 38, of Bhatakatiya, were injured when a bear attacked a Tursani community forest in Ramaroshan Rural Municipality-6, Bhatakatiya on Friday.

According to the District Police Office of Achham, their condition was critical as they were injured in the attack while cutting wood at around 12 noon.

A team from Police Posted in Santana rescued the injured and sent them to Bayalpata Hospital, said Information Officer at the Achham Police Office, Inspector Ramesh Dutt Awasthi.

Similarly, a bear attacked 55-year-old Bhaire Batala while she was cutting grass and firewood in the forest of Chhadikhola of Ramaroshan Rural Municipality -5 at around 12:30 on Friday.

Information Officer Awasthi said that a team from Santana Police Post rescued her and sent her to Bayalpata Hospital. Her condition is also said to be critical.
