Chure rural municipality achieves full vaccination assurance and sustainability status
Kailali: Chure Rural Municipality in Kailali district has been declared fully vaccinated with sustainability assurance.
The municipality reported that a comprehensive household survey covering all 1,452 children up to 59 months of age was conducted under its regular program for the fiscal year 2082/083.
According to Bikram Bahadur Bohara, Public Health Inspector at the Municipality Health Branch, out of the total 1,452 children, 388 children under 15 months are receiving regular vaccinations, while 1,064 children aged 16 to 59 months have received all the vaccinations required within 15 months.
Chure Rural Municipality achieved full vaccination assurance status in the fiscal year 2082/083 after fulfilling all required criteria and procedures as outlined in the full vaccination assurance guidelines. Health workers, female community health volunteers, public representatives, and other stakeholders played an active role in strengthening routine immunization services across all wards and ensuring access to vaccination for children within the target age group.
The certificate issued by the District Complete Vaccination Coordination Committee, Kailali, confirms that children aged 16 to 23 months in the rural municipality have received all necessary vaccines in accordance with the national immunization schedule.
The rural municipality has described this achievement as a significant milestone in ensuring the health security of children and has committed to further strengthening regular vaccination programs in the coming days. It has also stated that awareness, surveillance, and monitoring activities will continue at the community level to ensure that no child is deprived of vaccination services.
