Dhangadhi: Sanatan Hinduism campaigner Abhishek Joshi has successfully distributed Shrimad Bhagavad Gita to 15,000 households as part of his nationwide campaign. The initiative, which began on Poush 27 last year in Nijgadh, Bara district, aims to reach 20,000 households within a year.

Joshi stated that the campaign was launched under the guidance of Khadak Prasad Upreti of Bara, in coordination with fellow religious campaigner Ammar Pariyar. “So far, 15,000 households have received the Gita, and we are committed to fulfilling the target of distributing 20,000 copies by Poush 27 next year,” he said.

Expressing gratitude to supporters, Joshi said, “I thank everyone who has supported this journey financially, physically, and morally. This campaign, initiated on the auspicious occasion of Prithvi Jayanti in Nijgadh Municipality, has been progressing steadily, and we are determined to complete our resolution within the year.”

Joshi emphasized that the campaign was launched because many Hindu households do not possess sacred scriptures. He added that as the initiative progressed, it became clear that distributing the Gita alone is insufficient, and efforts should also focus on organizing religious education through Gurukuls.

Highlighting the broader vision, Joshi said, “There are numerous religious organizations in the country, and they should work to organize people, provide training, and open Gurukuls.”

The campaign has already reached districts including Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Parbat, Tanahun, Udayapur, Ramechhap, Saptari, Kavre, Bara, Dhading, Mugu, and Doti. Joshi, who resides in Belauri Municipality, Kanchanpur, has been active in promoting religious awareness for over a decade and is a recognized scholar of Hindu philosophy.
