Kathmandu: A youth from Kanchanpur district has been arrested on charges of vandalism, arson, and looting during the Genji movement.

Shahi, who had been living at Krishna Mandir in Dhapasi, Kathmandu, was a former soldier dismissed from the Nepal Army, informed AIG Dan Bahadur Karki of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office.
Shahi had joined the Nepal Army in 2074 BS but was expelled in 2075 BS after it was confirmed that he had submitted a fake driving license while serving as a driver.
