23 gamblers arrested in Kanchanpur, Over five lakh rupees seized

Kanchanpur: In a single day, police arrested 23 gamblers in Kanchanpur, seizing more than five lakh rupees in cash.

A police team from the District Police Office Kanchanpur detained 13 individuals, including 29-year-old Rajendra Bahadur Shah of Bhimdatta Municipality-4, who were gambling inside a bush along the Rautela River in Barakunda Rautela, Bhimdatta Municipality-1. Officers confiscated Rs. 4,74,098 in cash and 14 decks of cards during the arrest.

In a separate incident, four individuals, including the owner of New Highway Wines and Café, 39-year-old Amar Singh Dhami, were arrested in Bedkot Municipality-7 Suda. The police seized Rs. 26,250 and three decks of cards.

Additionally, six people, including 40-year-old Gopal Sunar, were apprehended while gambling in an uninhabited house in Dodhara Chandni Municipality-1 Bhumiraj Tol. The police confiscated Rs. 25,175 and one deck of cards from the scene. The District Police Office Kanchanpur reported that investigations are ongoing regarding the 23 individuals arrested on Wednesday.
