Dengue-infected woman dies in Dhangadhi, 25 people infected in Kailali

Dhangadhi: A woman from Kailali Dhangadhi has died due to dengue infection. Lal Bahadur Dhami, Head of Health Office Kailali informed that 35-year-old Geeta Shahi of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-12 died during treatment at Nisarga Hospital.

Shahi died on Tuesday morning during treatment, but dengue was confirmed only on Wednesday. Dengue-infected Shahi had a cardiopulmonary arrest.

Recently, a dengue outbreak has spread in Kailali. According to the health office, only 25 people have been infected with dengue in Lamki Chuha Municipality of Kailali after 16th July (Shrawan 1).

According to the health office, correspondence has been sent to all the 13 local levels of Kailali to be aware and conduct a campaign to prevent dengue infection.
