Body of missing driver found after 4 days in Baitadi

Dhangadhi: There was a jeep accident in Madi River in Madi Rural Municipality-4 of Rolpa last Friday night. Jeep No. 7 Ch 5002, which was coming from Sisne Bazar, Madi Rural Municipality-4 on Shaheed Marg towards Gharti village, fell into the Madi river about 100 meters below the road.

22-year-old Manoj Chand of Patan Municipality-4 of Baitadi, the co-driver of the jeep, was injured in the accident. He is being treated at Lumbini Regional Hospital Butwal, police said. The body of the missing driver was found in the river after 4 days. Police said that the body of the driver, 31-year-old Wuddhi Bahadur Lama of Kakani rural municipality-3 in Nuwakot, was found on Tuesday. District Police Office Rolpa said that the accident is being investigated.
