Army Field Hospital commences operation in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: The Nepal Army has opened a field hospital in Dhangadhi, Kailali.

The far-western contingent of the Nepal Army have commenced a 25-beds into operation from Monday.

The hospital was inaugurated by Chief of Army Staff Purnachandra Thapa. According to a Nepal Army source, the hospital will provide medical services to 40,000-50,000 Nepal Army personnel and their families in the Far West.

As the number of Coronavirus cases have increased in the Far-West, the state government had requested the army hospital to treat the infected.

The state government has also provided Rs. 3 million to run the service.

General ward and lab related services are currently flowing from the hospital. The hospital was built with the joint investment of the Army Welfare Fund and the Government of Nepal.
