Work on Sahajpur-Bogtan road stalled for over 23 months

Dhangadhi: Work on the 40-kilometer section of the Sahajpur-Bogtan road has not progressed due to lack of tree felling orders.

The construction of the 50-kilometer section of the Sahajpur-Bogtan road, which was contracted 23 months ago, has stalled due to lack of orders to cut down trees. According to the Planning Office, the construction work of Sahajpur-Bogtan road needs 3,300 trees to be cut.

Chief of the Sahajpur-Bogtan Road Planning Office, Ujwal Shrestha, said, "we have started the work for 5 km section without any obstruction but work on the other 40 km section has come to a standstill. The construction of Sahajpur-Bogtan road, which initially started in 2044 BS, has not yet been constructed even after 33 years of construction.
