Dhorpatan (Baglung): The ward office building of Jaimini Municipality-3, which had been providing services from a dilapidated structure since its establishment, has now been constructed. The three-room building was built at a cost of Rs 1 crore.

The ward office, which had long been operating from the deteriorated building of the Community Forest Users Committee, is now preparing to shift to its own facility. Ward Chair Krishna Bahadur Bhujel informed that the building was constructed after local residents Krishna Bahadur Chhantyal, Chandra Bahadur Pandey, Indrakali Pun, and Mohan Pun provided 10 ropanis of land valued at Rs 1 crore free of cost.

“Until now, we have been providing services from the community forest building. We faced a lot of difficulties while delivering services from there. Now, preparations are underway to move to our own building on Baisakh 23,” he said.

Jaimini Municipality Deputy Chief Harihar Sharma said that service delivery will become more effective once all ward offices are properly organized. He added that most of the ward office buildings are currently under construction.
