Relief handed over for flood victims in Kailali
Dhangadhi: The Rotary Club of Dhangadhi, which has been working in the field of humanitarian service, on Saturday handed over relief to 200 families displaced due to floods in Bhajani Municipality of Kailali.
The Rotary Club of Dhangadhi has handed over 10 kg of rice, 2 kg of pulses, one kg of salt and soap to Shivraj Joshi, Administrative Officer of District Administration Office of Kailali, for the flood victimes, said Dr. Pratiksha Singh Rathore, Vice President of the club.
The relief materials for 200 people were handed over by Dr. Ganesh Bahadur Singh, former president of the club. The event was attended by Rotarians including the club's charter president Prakash Bhatt, former president Harishankar Thakur and Pushkar Ojha.
More than 500 families across the Bhajani Municipality of Kailali have been stranded on the postal road due to the floods. The Rotary Club of Dhangadhi had sent Chiura and noodles to the flood-affected area on Friday.
The club has handed over the relief materials to the District Administration Office of Kailali, as the relief distribution can be given only through the one-stop system. The relief materials were sent to the affected areas on Saturday, said Shivraj Joshi, administrative officer at the District Administration Office of Kailali.
