Social Development Minister Saund Unveils Comprehensive Handbook on Yoga and Ayurveda Treatment

Dhangadhi: The esteemed Social Development Minister, Jhapta Bahadur Saund, took the initiative to introduce the enlightening "Handbook on Disease-wise Yoga, Purvakarma, and Panchakarma" in an event held at the Provincial Ayurveda Hospital on Thursday.
Minister Saund officiated the book launch, presenting the comprehensive handbook crafted by the hospital. This invaluable resource encompasses detailed insights into yoga practices and Ayurvedic treatments, aiming to enlighten and educate the general populace. Minister Saund underlined the potential of these books to foster the growth of yoga awareness and to disseminate knowledge about Ayurvedic therapies.
In his address during the event, Minister Saund reaffirmed his commitment to supporting and guiding the hospital in its mission to advance Ayurveda treatments. The program saw the esteemed presence of Gyan Prasad Dhakal, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, as well as the Chairman of the Hospital Management Committee, alongside its members and dedicated employees.
As part of the program, the annual progress report of the Provincial Ayurveda Hospital for the fiscal year 2079/080 was presented. Surya Upadhyay, acting head of the hospital, shared that an impressive 29,747 individuals sought treatment at the facility in the previous year. The hospital, true to its mission, currently provides 23 different types of medicines free of charge, with ambitious plans for further service expansion in the near future.
Minister Saund underscored the significance of collaborative efforts between political, administrative leadership, and the ministry to advance the hospital's endeavors. The Ministry remains steadfastly committed to enhancing citizens' well-being through the institution's fortified services, making healthcare more accessible and impactful.
