One person died, one injured after the house was destroyed by a landslide in Bajura

Dhangadhi: One person has died after a landslide destroyed his house in Bajura. District Police Office Bajura has informed that 45-year-old Prabhulal Giri of Jagannath Rural Municipality-1 was buried by a landslide that came from the top of his house on Monday morning.

According to the police, the mother of the deceased was also injured in the landslide. The police said that his injured mother was taken to Kolti for treatment. It is also said that the body of the deceased has been sent to Kolti for post-mortem.

The risk of landslides has increased due to continuous rains in Jagannath Rural Municipality. District administration office Bajura has informed that 3 families have been displaced by landslides in different places of the rural municipality so far. Similarly, 2 police stations and school buildings in the district are also at risk of landslides.
