Youth arrested for attempting rape in Bajhang

Dhangadhi: Police have arrested a youth on charge of attempting rape on a teenager in Bajhang.

Rajendra B.K, 19, of Masta Rural Municipality-2 Khikala has been arrested. According to the District Police Office, Bajhang, he tried to rape a 16-year-old girl on Friday evening. According to Inspector Kamal Prasad Chaudhary, Information Officer at the Bajhang Police Office, the investigation revealed that Rajendra had dragged the girl from the road to his barn.

According to Inspector Chaudhary, Rajendra was arrested on August 21 and a case has been registered against him for attempt to rape. Similarly, Samjhana Kami, 12, of Masta Rural Municipality-2 Khikala was killed after being raped at a temple in the same village on September 23(2020).

Police have arrested the culprit on the charge of being involved in her murder. He is currently at Dipayal Juvenile Center.
