Drinking water pipes damaged due to landslide in Dogadakedar Rural Municipality

Baitadi: The Chadepani of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-7 of Baitadi is facing a paucity of drinking water. The landslide has damaged drinking water pipes and caused a shortage of drinking water in Chadepani. A landslide last Friday has deprived 200 households of drinking water.

Chairman of the Drinking Water Project Laxmidatta Bhatta said that the landslide damaged the drinking water structure in Surnaya Rural Municipality-3 Dharamghar of Baitadi. "The landslide has damaged the drinking water pipes and the mainline," he said. "There is a shortage of drinking water in the village." The landslide damaged about 400 meters of the pipe, Bhatta said.

Keshav Bhatta, a local, said that there was a problem in the village after the mainline of drinking water was damaged. The Chadepani Drinking Water Consumers Committee has stated that initiatives are being taken for the restoration of drinking water.
