Bajura: The farmers in Bajura find themselves in a predicament as oranges remain unsold, causing distress among the agricultural community.

Dhanraj Upadhyay, a resident of Triveni Municipality-9, expressed his concerns over the lack of sales for oranges. Despite a successful cultivation of oranges, which ripened in Kartik, the produce has failed to find buyers even into the month of January. Upadhyaya, who has cultivated oranges across more than 700 plantations, shared, "The oranges have grown exceptionally well, but the absence of buyers is causing significant problems. The oranges produced by the farmers are finding no market."

Initiating orange cultivation through the Krishi Gyan Kendra, Upadhyaya converted lands previously used for wheat, paddy, and millet cultivation. Now faced with the challenge of unsold oranges, he worries about supporting his family. This predicament extends to other farmers in the region, compounding their troubles as the unsold orange inventory accumulates.
