Illegal goods worth Rs 5 lakh seized in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Authorities have seized illegal goods worth approximately Rs 5 lakh in Kanchanpur.

The items, valued at Rs 485,000, were reportedly smuggled into Nepal from India while evading customs regulations. The confiscated goods, including mobile displays and various mobile parts in a state of disrepair, were discovered in Bhimdatta Municipality-11, Bhujela.

A patrol team from the Area Police Office, Gaddachauki, intercepted the goods and subsequently handed them over to the Customs Office, Gaddachauki, for further legal action.
