Dhangadhi: The locals of Kanchanpur say that they have been paying money to some shop owners to fill the 'National identity card' near the office of District Administration Office.

The government has said that the 'National identity card' will be made free of charge. However, in Kanchanpur, it has been found that money is taken in return for filling the form. According to the service users, the owners of printing and printing shops near the Kanchanpur administration office charge Rs. 200-300 rupees for the identity card provided by the government free of charge.

Prakash Bhatta of Bhimdatta Municipality-4 has said that he got scammed by saying that he would get an identity card immediately. He said that he was tricked by paying Rs. 250 to fill the form and that the work would be done quickly. However, his work was done on usual time.

Similarly, it is said that other people like him are also getting scammed. On the other hand, the administration office said that the money cannot be collected illegally and will remind the shop owners.
