Farmers to lock down sugar mills due to profuse exploitation

Farmers have decided to lock down sugar mills in Kanchanpur as they feel heavily exploited. The sugar mills around Kanchanpur district have allegedly been blamed for looting sugarcane farmers as they have defied the rates set by the government on sugarcane and paid Rs 96 less on the price set. A quantal of sugarcane is suppose to be sold for Rs 536, the farmers are suffering a loss of Rs 27 crore in total due to the same reason.
