Apple farming flourishes in Bajura
Dhangadhi: Apple farming has started flourishing in Bajura. Collective apple farming has been flourishing in Andredi, a pocket area of potato and bean in Gaumul village of the district.
The village municipality has declared Andredi Alu and Simi as pocket areas, which can be reached on foot in about a day. Andradi village in Gaumul village municipality 1 is considered to be geographically inaccessible.
Lately, the uncultivated paddy fields here have turned into apple orchards. Lately, farmers of rural areas including Andradi of Gaumul have been attracted towards collective apple farming. The locals believe that they can earn a decent income by cultivating apples and the youths here do not have to go abroad for employment.
