Corruption increases at the local level in Far-West

Birendra Bhatt, Dhangadhi: The incidence of financial transactions at the local level in the far western states has been increasing one after another. The annual report released by the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Monday showed that corruption at the local level has increased comparatively. Secretary of the Civil Society, Kanchanpur, Komal Niranjan Bhat said that the civil society has been warning against corruption.

"The net of corruption seen at the local level has grown irresistibly," he said. "Economic irregularities have intensified at the local level as a government close to the people." The number of complaints related to corruption in the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority shows that there is a lot of irregularity in the area. The 31st annual report of the commission has shown that the highest number of complaints of corruption has been registered at the local level.
