Far-Western Provincial Volleyball Tournament: Action taken against Achham and Bajhang teams
Dhangadhi: Action has been taken against the teams of Achham and Bajhang in the ongoing Far Western Provincial Level Volleyball Tournament in Dhangadhi. According to the Far Western Provincial Sports Council, the action was taken after both the teams left the court in half a game, rejecting the referee's decision. Council member secretary Deepak Singh said that action has been taken against both the teams for not showing sports discipline.
"Both teams rejected the referee's decision and left the game in the middle," Singh said. After the competition, the process of further action will move forward. Achham had left the game after a dispute in the final set between Doti and Achham on Thursday. In Thursday's match between Bajhang and Baitadi, Bajhang had a dispute and left in the middle of the match. In the process, there was a scuffle between the police and the players.
The winner of the ongoing competition in Dhangadhi will be given a trophy along with one lakh in cash. The runner-up of the competition will be given a trophy with Rs 50,000 in cash while the two teams that reach the semi-finals of the competition will be given a trophy with Rs 25,000 in cash. Prizes will also be given to the best players of 5 different disciplines. The competition is being organized by the Far Western Provincial Sports Council.
