Congress to lead the Far- Western state government !
Dhangadhi: Discussions have been held between the ruling coalition at the center with the Nepali Congress taking the lead in the Far Western Provincial Government. A leader of the Nepali Congress Far-Western Province told Dinesh Khabar that the Nepali Congress, which is in the coalition government at the center, and the CPN-Unified Socialist Party have reached an understanding to form a new government in Province No. 1 and Bagmati.
According to him, after the expansion of the Council of Ministers at the Center on Friday, the issue of change of government and power sharing in the Far-West, Bagmati and Province 1 will move forward in a concrete manner. Earlier, there was a CPN-Maoist-led government in Kanarli and Lumbini, while there was a Nepali Congress-led government in Gandaki. In Province No. 2, Jaspa has a government.
The leaders said that the ruling coalition has agreed to move ahead with the formation of the central government as per the agreement reached between the ruling Nepali Congress, the UCPN (Maoist) Center and the CPN-Unified Socialist Party. In the Far-West, Trilochan Bhatt will now be replaced by the Nepali Congress as the Chief Minister. But the ruling coalition will also include the CPN-Maoist center. In the Far-West and Bagmati, the Congress and the CPN-Unified Socialists could lead alternate governments for the remainder of the term.
