Flood and landslide victims of Darchula demand to bring rehabilitation package
Dhangadhi: The state and federal governments have been requested to rehabilitate the flood and landslide victims of Duhu village in the Darchula district. A request has been made to the state and federal governments for the rehabilitation of the flood and landslide victims.
Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatt has been asked to announce a package for the relief and rehabilitation of the victims with the Far Western State Government and the Federal Government. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhatta has also assured immediate relief to the families of the deceased. Five people were killed in floods and landslides in different parts of Duhu village on August 27.
The floods and landslides had completely displaced 64 households. According to the Duhu village municipality, 95 houses were at high risk and 115 houses were partially damaged. Similarly, 5 micro-hydro, 6 suspension bridges, and one motorable bridge were completely damaged. Similarly, three kilometers of roads, more than a dozen drinking water projects, culverts, community, and school buildings have been damaged.
