Missing child’s body recovered from a river in Tikapur Municipality

Dhangadhi: A five-year-old boy of Tikapur Municipality Ward No. 1 Block No. 8 of Kailali is suspected to have been killed. The five-year-old boy was reported missing three days ago.

While a team of Area Police Office, Tikapur found the body of the boy in Bagmari’s Jamara River in Tikapur Municipality Ward no. 4. Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Kailali, said, "Considering the scene, it seems that the incident was not a mishap but an intended murder.

We are investigating thoroughly and will give the details of the incident at 2pm in a press conference.” SP Adhikari, added that he started the investigation on Monday night after the boy was reported missing, and personally lead field investigation on Tuesday.

SP Adhikari who was travelling to Dhangadhi on Tuesday night returned to Tikapur after the body was found. According to the deceased’s father Dilip Bista his five-year-old son Bibek Bista left with his 15-year-old cousin to eat berries on Monday before the mishap.
