A girl found dead in the room of Kailali's acting ward chairman Kailali

Dhangadhi: A girl has been found dead in the room of the acting ward chairman in Kailali.

Sanjita Chaudhary was found dead in the room of acting ward chairman Niraj Chaudhary of Gauriganga Municipality-3 on Sunday morning.

Ramesh Chaudhary, brother of the deceased, told Dinesh Khabar that his sister, had been in a relationship with the acting Ward Chairman since the past 10 years, while she was found locked in his room on Sunday morning.

He said that she was found hanging but her legs were on the ground therefore she was probably murdered because the room she was found in was locked from outside. However, Kailali police said that they have no information about the incident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Prateek Bisht, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kailali, said, "We have no information about the incident" The Area Police Office, Chaumala, has sealed the site. Acting Ward Chairman Chaudhary has been unreachable since the incident, said a relative, he was recently married to another girl.

According to the locals, the ward chairman and his wife have been unreachable since Saturday night. The ward chairman Narendra Shah died of Coronavirus a few months ago thereafter, Chaudhary was appointed as the acting ward chairman.
