18 year old murder suspect arrested for rape of 12-year-old girl

Bajhang: Preliminary investigation has revealed that 12-year-old Samjhana Kami of Mashta Rural Municipality-2 of Bajhang was murdered after being raped.

"The post-mortem conducted at the District Hospital of Bajhang, confirmed that the girl had been raped and killed", said DSP Rupak Khadkal. Similarly, DSP Khadka said that a few evidences have been found against an 18-year-old Rajendra Bohara of the same place who has now been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident.

"A lot of concrete evidence has been found against Bohara, no all we need is an official statement from him confessing his crime. Samjhana Kami was found dead on Wednesday evening.

She left her house around 4:30 on Wednesday to tie her cattle her family started looking for her as she did not return home.

Her body was found at the Sim Temple, about two kilometres away from the village, on Wednesday evening. The girl had bruises all over her body and was found naked.

The girl's parents have been living in India for employment and she had been living with her grandparents.
