1,106 samples examined in Dadeldhura Laboratory

Dhangadhi: In the last 24 hours, 1,106  tests for Coronavirus have been conducted at Dadeldhura Laboratory. This is the highest number of corona tests ever performed.

A total of 10,000 samples have been tested in the laboratory of Dadeldhura Hospital since Monday. Hospital laboratory in-charge Ishwori Prasad Bhushal said that samples are being tested in seven hilly districts in Dadeldhura. "We are working day and night without food. We are happy to be able to do a little for the country and give back to the people."

The samples have been sent to Dadeldhura Hospital for testing after they were recovered from the laboratory of Seti Provincial Hospital. On Saturday alone, more than 1,800 samples were sent to Dadeldhura Hospital.

Of the 1,106 corona tests performed on Monday, 57 were confirmed infected. According to laboratory in-charge Ishwori Prasad Bhushal, the infection has been confirmed in 31 people from Ghodaghodi municipality of Kailali, 8 people from Tikapur municipality, 7 people from Gauriganga municipality and 47 people from Janaki village.

Similarly, eight members of Bhim Dutta Municipality of Kanchanpur, one member of Mahakali Municipality of Kanchanpur and one member of Nepal Army Battalion of Baitadi have been confirmed as corona. At the same time, the number of corona cases in the far west has reached 5,463.
