Darchula: India has doubled the number of security personnel at the border area from Dharchula to Kalapani. India has deployed thousands of security personnel at various outposts in Nabidhang from Tambaku to Lipulekh.

Hundreds of SSB and army vehicles are being deployed daily on the road section from Dharchula to Lipulekh. Locals say that India has increased patrolling in the border area through vehicles.

"In the past, few Indian security vehicles were see on this stretch of the road," said Mukesh Budhathoki of Vyas-2. The Indian security personnel also insulted the locals and made their way to Nepal in the Tambaku area. Since the Nepal government set up a Nepal Army camp at Ghatibagar, India has been seen widening the road on the disputed territory. Local Sher Singh Dhami informed that  India has also been detonating explosives across the Nepal Army camp.

India has blocked the movement of Nepali security personnel and locals around Kalapani. Nepal has decided to set up Armed Police Force barrack No. 50  in Vyas.

The Border Out Post (BOP) of the Armed Police Force is being set up at Kauwa and Tinkarmas near Kalapani. The Nepal Army has set up camps in the area demanding construction of roundabouts and roads.

The proposal to keep the Nepali soldiers in Chhangru of Vyas has gone through the Api Nampa Conservation Area Office and the District Security Committee. Chief District Officer Sharad Kumar Pokhrel said, "The army may also be present in the area to strengthen the security situation". We have given high priority to the border checkpoints and sent them homework from the district.
