Paucity of health workers: Pregnant woman from Himali suffers labor pain since 3 days

A pregnant woman of Himali Rural Municipality Ward No. 3 of Bajura has been struggling at home for the past three days. 25-year-old Lalsari Budha has been suffering from labor pain for the past three days. Her relatives said that she was bleeding profusely.

The relatives of the pregnant woman said that there was only one health worker at the nearby Una Basic Health Center but she is unavailable, as she is at the monastery. Her relative Arjun Rokaya said that she was embarrassed to be taken to Bichhaya Health Post on a stretcher and they had limited options due to the landslide. It takes almost five hours to reach Bichhaya Health Post from Una.
