15th person infected by Coronavirus from Accham, being treated at Seti Provincial Hospital

The information disseminated by the Ministry of Health and Population on Monday regarding a COVID-19 infected person from Accham, being treated in Accham is allegedly incorrect.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Bikas Devkota, in a regular briefing said, “A 32-year-old from Mellekh village tested positive for the virus and is undergoing a treatment at Achham District Hospital.” However, according to the Information Officer at Seti Provincial Hospital Dr. Dilip Kumar Shrestha, “The infected has been undergoing a treatment at the Seti Provincial Hospital since 21st May.

He was admitted in the isolation ward of the hospital after being rescued from Gaurifanta and tested positive for the virus on Sunday. Although he’s infected, his health condition is normal at the moment.”
