Former Budhiganga Mayor, Four Others Sentenced to Three Months in Corruption Case
Dhangadhi: Five individuals, including the former mayor of Budhiganga Municipality in Bajura, have been sentenced to three months in prison and fined NPR 10,000 each in a corruption case involving the construction of an administrative building.
The Special Court issued the verdict against the five individuals: then-Mayor Deepak Bikram Shah, then-Chief Administrative Officer Prem Kaji Maharjan, then-Engineer Paras Khati, Pushkar Rokaya, managing director of Jagriti Nirman Sewa, and then-Sub-Engineer Ganesh Raj Regmi.
However, nine other defendants in the same case have been acquitted.
